Guests Issue(s):

Comment was made regarding the change in morning arrival procedures. Little notice was given to families as to the change. Liked the feeling of community during assembly. Enjoyed participating with students in prayer, pledge and birthday announcements.

Ms. Olcomendy explained valuable instruction time was lost due to the time spent getting into the classroom. Players, pledge and birthday announcements are still done as a school over the P.A. system. This was a decision of the staff during their retreat.

Old Business:

  • The school brochure is still in progress and put on hold until next year.
  • Centerplate is starting on opening day of the Giants season. Fr. Bruce encouraged sign-ups for as many games as possible. Parents of 5th and 6th grades for 2005-06 must work to defer the cost of Outdoor Education. If lack of participation of the family will be asked to pay the fee for Outdoor Education program. The hours worked do count toward your 40 hour commitment.

New Business:

None

Committee Reports:

CHAIR: Elections for two new members of the School Board will be held in May in conjunction with the Parish Council elections. Anyone interested should contact Ms. Olcomendy.

SCRIPT: A written protocol is to be established for the ordering, tracking, inventory and processing of scrip. The inventory is now being stored in the rectory and orders are placed and delivered on Thursdays unless special order scrip is requested. A computer program, Scrip-Pro, will be tested as to the feasibility and ease in tracking sales and inventory.

The sale of scrip after masses is being investigated.

Promotion of e-scrip is necessary.

There is a need for more volunteers to help with processing orders.

TRAFFIC: After spending years directing traffic during morning drip-off, John Bendick must forego his responsibility due to work schedules. Tom Kucsak has graciously agreed to fill-in for the remainder of the year.
