Action Items:
|
- Safety issues in the parking lot were
addressed again. Parents will be asked to assist
directing traffic (via the Wednesday envelope).
Dave Harders volunteered to make signs for the
parents to hold, encouraging the drivers to get
their passengers ready to exit the vehicle. The
signs will add humor to the situation but get
the message across, that drop off and pick up
must be done quickly and safely.
- Terri Murray has completed the survey on
the boy's pants. She received 94 responses, 66%
of which were in favor of changing to navy twill
pants. Mrs. Bordin will meet with the uniform
supplier on December 5th to discuss the change
and any problems that this may cause.

Guest Issues:
|
- Maureen Mitchell inquired about whether
there were any plans for a music/band program.
Mrs. Bordin addressed the issue, explaining that
they are researching several after school
programs but would not be making any concrete
plans until the new multi purpose building is
completed.

Mailed in
Guest Issues:
|
- Sandra Timko wrote in inquiring about
whether the homework club would be free to
students. Mrs. Bordin addressed the issue,
explaining that the homework club would be
available to students through extended care. If
you want your child to attend the homework club
you will have to pay the extended care
fees.

Old Business:
|
- The status of the handrails in middle
yard was addressed. Maureen Wallace has located
a contactor willing to take on the job. A
proposal has been submitted to the school and
awaits Father Ring's approval.

|
New Business:
|
- Dave Harders brought up the grade level
expectations for computer skills. The majority
of high schools expects new students to have
good to high computer skills and do not include
computer classes on the curriculum. Mrs. Bordin
addressed the issue. The archdiocese has
mandated that all Catholic school must have a
Technology Curriculum Plan in place by June
2003.
- Progress reports were addressed. The most
recent reports did not state that the students
involved were now on sports probation. As a
result, coaches were not notified. Mrs. Bordin
addressed the issue. The handbook clearly states
that if a student receives a progress report,
where a grade of C- or lower is earned in any
subject, or a 3, or lower, in conduct in any
subject or general conduct, the student will be
placed on sports probation. All future progress
reports will state if a student is on sports
probation, to avoid any confusion.
