Dear Parishioners,

I once asked my high school students which part of the Mass was the most important. I was not prepared for the answer one of my students gave me.

"The end of Mass is the most important part of the Mass," the young man said.

"Why did you say that?" I asked.

The student replied: " The Mass never really ends. When we leave Church, it is really only beginning. We must go forth and proclaim to the world what the disciples of Emmaus did. We must proclaim that Jesus is risen. We must proclaim that Jesus lives on."

This student of mine was absolutely right. This is the message the world needs to hear. This is the message the world must hear. If we don’t deliver this message to the world, we have failed in our mission as followers of Jesus. Yes, the end of Mass is the most important part of the Mass.

We need to go forth from St. Robert’s this Sunday and tell the world the good news of Easter:

Christ has died!
Christ is risen!
Christ will come again!

This is the good news Jesus entrusted to his disciples on the road to Emmaus. This is the mission each one of us shares in the Church today.

Happy Easter!
Deacon Brian Costello

Thanks to all the parishioners help in the parish we were able to give out 24 food baskets along with $500 in scrip to needy families at Easter time.
