Happy Easter!

We rejoice in the gift of faith and we are grateful for it. The Resurrection is not meant to impose faith upon those who do not believe. Rather, the Resurrection is meant to strengthen the conviction of those who already do believe.

"We carry about within ourselves the dying of Jesus that His rising as well may be evident in us."
St. Paul 2 Cor 4:10.

"How is His rising made evident to us? By loving as He loved. The faithful should therefore enter into themselves and make a true judgment of their attitudes of mind and heart. If they find some store of love’s fruit in their hearts they must not doubt God’s presence within them. If they would increase their capacity to receive so great a guest they should practice greater generosity in doing good, with preserving charity."
POPE SAINT LEO THE GREAT.

Hold in your heart all who have been bludgeoned by evil in the world; all who are ill; and all who mourn the death of someone they love. Love as Jesus did.

Year around we are grateful for the generosity of our parishioners. We particularly thank all who lent their time and talent to our Holy Week and Easter celebrations. From the Teen Passion Play through the Little and Middle Churchers joy, to the Eucharistic Ministers to the Sick with Sister Ita. THANK YOU ALL!

Fr. Ring continues his recovery from back surgery. We look forward to his return in May.

Happy Easter,
Father Morris

Happy Easter to you and your family! Now that we have completed our 40 days of Lenten preparation and our solemn 3 days, give some thought to how you might celebrate the 50 days of the Easter Season. I’m going to keep praying "thank you!" and add some fresh flowers to my kitchen table. Enjoy the freedom of the Spirit of Christ Jesus! - Pat Kelly

We call on U.S. Catholics, especially those in positions of leadership - whether cultural, economic or political - to recover their identity as followers of Jesus Christ and to be leaders in the renewal of American respect for the sanctity of life. (National Council of Catholic Bishops, "Living the Gospel of Life": A Challenge to American Catholics).
