Dear Parishioners,

There are so many people to thank for making our Lenten and Easter celebrations so special. The Liturgy Committee for the wonderful decorations and all the planning that went into the Liturgies...the men of the Parish who changed the lights in the Church to help brighten our environment... the youth ministers and the youth of the Parish who worked so hard on the Passion Play (it was even shown on the ABC evening news along with the celebrations from the Vatican and Jerusalem!) the members of the choirs who worked so hard to lead us in prayerful the Children’s Liturgy team who hosted over 120 children during the Liturgy on Good Friday...the members of the RCIA team who helped prepare five adults for Baptism, two for the Profession of Faith and fifteen for Confirmation and Eucharist...our priests, deacons, sisters and parish staff for the many hours of all the parishioners who contributed to the purchase of flowers... and to all of you for your generosity in the collection which makes possible the running of our Parish. Thank you to anyone who helped in any way to make our celebration of the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Christ a wonderful spiritual experience. During the coming days, let us pray for the coming of the Spirit at Pentecost upon all of us and upon the Church throughout the world.

The Annual Appeal continues. Any money we receive above our assessment of $69,000 will go to the completion of our Sanctuary renovation - the last remaining task is to put small windows in the wall to the right and left of the marble so that we can have natural light in the altar area.

Fr. Ring

The Parish Council advises Fr. Ring in the long range planning for our Parish. If you would like to have an impact on the future direction of St. Robert’s, consider running for the Parish Council. Three seats will be available for the three-year term starting this fall and one seat for a two-year term. Elections are planned for the weekend of May 16-17. Applications are available in the vestibule of the church, from any Parish Council member, or at the Parish Office. Gary DeMartini.

On Sunday, May 3rd, the Sociables will be meeting at Mi Tequila Restaurant in Millbrae for an early dinner. All are invited. Please phone Helen for information and reservations before April 29th.

We would like to acknowledge and thank the following people for the Passion Play. First, the teens for their performance and singing and by showing us their faither...our musicians: Jenny Klich, Garrett Cordes, and Kerry Hansell...the 9:00 AM Choir for bringing such sweet sounds to the performance...our cooks, Lisa Baldonado, MaryAnn Saisi, and sue the audlts for their direction and guidance - Sandi Murtagh, Bob Baker, Ben Baldonado, and Diana Landin. We are looking forward to bringing a 4th annual Passion Play next year.

You are invited to a Youth Mass on Sunday, May 3rd at St. Mary’s Cathedral. It is a student-planned liturgy with lots of student participation, including a wonderful youth choir! Please come and celebrate with youth from throughout the Archdiocese. Mass begins at 6:00 PM. There is a social hour downstairs after Mass. The evening will end by 8:00 PM.
