Dear Parishioners,

Congratulations to all those who worked so hard to make the Fashion Show such an excellent success. It was a great evening of excellent food, an excellent floor show by the children and adults (including Father Mark), and on top of it all a very successful auction. The money raised will be used for the school, the religious education program and youth programs. Congratulations and thank you to all. A financial report will be given as soon as possible.

Another thank you for all your prayers for me the past weeks. I am learning to deal better with the stress factors in my life and, as a result, the depression is in better control. I am spending more and more time here at the parish and am trying to adjust my schedule to my present condition. As in the past when I had surgery on my back, your support and concern have been a major factor in my recovery.

Father Ring

A LENTEN REFLECTION
from Pat Bordin

Lord, as I enter this Holy Week,
may Your story truly touch my story.
Help me to walk the way
of the cross at your side
and to guide those I meet
to walk with you always.
Amen

READINGS FOR EASTER SUNDAY
Acts 10:34-43; Colossians 3:1-4; John 20:1-9

IN THE HOUSE OF GOD
"Come to the Feast"

Last Sunday evening, we had an Easter Vigil walk-through for the Elect and Candidates for Baptism, Confirmation, and First Eucharist. Then our new Tongan choir showed up to rehearse for a Mass they are celebrating today at 2:00pm today. In the wings, the young cast of the Passion Play waited patiently for the church to clear so they could rehearse. On Monday night, three of our parish choirs joined together to rehearse music for the Easter Triduum. Matching the excitement of these many groups for the celebration of Palm Sunday and the Triduum was the exhilaration (and exhaustion!) of the Women’s Guild and their many friends following their successful Fashion Show. We have so much to celebrate! Day in and day out, God blesses this community with tremendous love and energy. It is the love of Jesus Christ flowing from his dying and rising. I hope you will come to celebrate our most sacred days this Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. - P.K.

*We welcome into the family of God: Victoria Reyes, Catherine Brown, Jarrett Reigies, Amanda Aquilio, & Claire Noble, who were baptized in Christ.

*We pray for the ill: Tony Coogan, Koret Koelman, Terry McLeod, Adela Florez, Ana Cosgaya, Peter Capodonicco, Rosemary McHale, Arthur Candia, Bastiaan Blumenthal, Muriel Krause, Sister Cabrini, Don Vickery, Jeanne McHugh, Catherine Cook, Ann Burns, Imelda Daly, Margarita Velez, Marky, Marlyn Arancibia, Marcia Bourne, Sandra Dill, Randall Guerro, Denise Hawald, Cyndy Smerdel, Perry Gonis, Richard Quintana, Mary Shick & Rita Gomez.

As a Parish Community, We Pray

For the Elect on their way to Easter Baptism and the Candidates for full communion. May they be deeply blessed in this week of fasting and prayer.

Our sincere sympathy to the families of
Ralph Schwabero, Maria Castellanos, & Roy Beardon
who recently passed away.

COMMUNAL RECONCILIATION SERVICE

We all need forgiveness and to be reconciled with God, Our Father, and each other. This will happen as we celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation as Parish Family. Our only requirement is sorrow for our sins. Come! Hear the Word of God as He speaks to us of His forgiveness and love. Then admit our failings to the priest and receive, through him, the Father’s pardon and peace. Wednesday, April 19th, at 7:30 PM.

PASSION PLAY

You are invited to the 5th annual Passion Play presented by the Youth ministry of St. Roberts. The passion play is performed by the teen youth of our parish. There will be two performances in the Church. On Thursday, April 20th, at 10:30 a.m. and the main performance on Good Friday at 7:30 p.m. Come join in the celebration of Jesus’ life.

GOOD FRIDAY CHILDREN'S LITURGY

The Children’s Liturgy Team will again be holding a Good Friday Liturgy for the children ages four and above. Kindly preregister your child by calling 952-7126 and leaving your name, child’s name and age, and your home phone number. Doors open at 1:15 PM and children should be picked up immediately after church services end at 3:00 p.m.

GOOD FRIDAY WALK - APRIL 21ST

Join the members of 6:30 a.m. daily Mass on their 7th annual silent-prayer and slow-paced walk up to the top of Junipero Serra Park in San Bruno. Meet at 6:30 a.m. sharp in the parking lot of St. Robert’s (near Crystal Springs Road). Wear layered clothing and sturdy shoes. All ages are welcome. Last year our youngest walker was 5 years old and the eldest, 87. Our approximate time of return to the St. Robert’s parking lot is 8:15 a.m. Hope you can join us for this beautiful prayer walk with your friends and relatives.
