As you can see, the Parish
Educational, Social and Recreational Center will be constructed
on what is now known as the 'Middle Yard' of St. Robert's School.
The new century calls for St. Robert's Parish to build on the
inheritance of the past. We have to dream to build an Educational
Center and Social/Recreational Center. The Educational Center will
house a needed Religious Educational Center for the Director of
Religious Education and staff, a teachers lunch room/work area, a
multipurpose classroom (science/art) and a youth center for the
teenagers of our Parish. The Social/Recreational Center will be able
to sit 320 for dinners/dances and which also can be used as a gym for
Parish recreational needs. In the Fall of 2000, a firm will be doing
a survey of all Parishioners to see what the feelings of the Parish
are about this project and to see what is feasible in regard to a
fund raising campaign. The Parish Building Committee consists of Rob
Aveson, Margot Giusti, George Lynch, John Marty and Jim Ruane. The
Parish Building Committee meets on a regular basis to decide how to
proceed with the funding of a Parish Educational, Social and
Recreational Center. They have studied other parish building projects
and will interview fund raisers in the near future. Say a prayer that
we will be able to finance this project that is so needed for our
Parish.
Sincerely, Father Vincent Ring
