"Building for a New
Century"
|
Over $675,000 raised!
As the result of our second consecutive
excellent Volunteer Report meeting, the amount of gifts
and pledges to "Building for a New Century"
has climbed to $678,402! We are two-thirds of the way
to our goal, but plenty of work remains. The St. Robert's
family has responded very generously thus far, and we
encourage those of you who will be contacted in the coming
weeks to help build upon the momentum which has been
established. Join the success!
Ways to
Contribute
Some parishioners have asked about the various ways in which
gifts may be made to the "Building for a New Century"
campaign. The most common method is a pledged gift, which
usually involves a gift paid over time. Donors also have the
option of giving securities (a gift of appreciated
securities may provide a substantial tax advantage), or real
estate/personal property. Of course, all gifts are
gratefully appreciated and acknowledged.
Questions & Answers
Q.
|
What is the process when I make my
gift?
|
A.
|
When a gift is made, the Intent Form/Pledge Card
is turned into our campaign office, where the
corresponding "Thank You" note is generated for Fr.
Ring to sign. It is then given to our Parish
Secretary, Kathy Hanley, who records it and files
it with all other Intent Forms and Pledge Cards.
Once or twice per week (on average), all checks and
cash are forwarded to our Accounts Receivable
manager, Sue Lynch, who deposits them. Neither the
gift document nor corresponding gift amount is
shared with anyone else.

Q.
|
How much should I give to "Building for a New
Century"?
|
A.
|
All of us have varying financial resources and
obligations; thus, there is no set amount that each
donor can contribute. As a result, each of us is
being asked to consider an investment commensurate
with his/her ability to give. This campaign is
based on EQUAL SACRIFICES, NOT EQUAL GIFTS.
