"Building for a New Century"

February 2-3, 2002

Issue #3

Your Time & Talents are needed…

This is Volunteer Weekend, and we thank all of you who filled out a card indicating you would like to lend your talents to the "Building for a New Century" effort. Some highlights about the role of a volunteer:

  • The time commitment is approximately five weeks, from February 12th - March 22nd. A Volunteer Orientation meeting will be held Tuesday, February 12th at 7:30 P.M. in Hennessy Hall.

  • It's a great way to meet many of your fellow parishioners and enjoy the spirit of a team effort while working towards the goals of this campaign.

If you would like to learn more about the campaign and how you could assist, or if you are unsure about getting involved, please contact any of our Leadership Committee members, Fr. Ring, or call the campaign office in the Rectory at 589-2800. Please join us in this great effort!

Orientation Meeting February 12th...

Everyone is invited to the campaign Volunteer Orientation meeting on Tuesday, February 12th, at 7:30 P.M. in Hennessy Hall. Our goal is to give all members of the St. Robert's community the opportunity to participate. Doing so will require the efforts of as many members of our parish family as possible. We invite you to come and learn about the campaign and how we'll reach our goals! Remember, many hands make light the task!

Pledges Received!

After just a couple of weeks, we have already received gifts to the "Building for a New Century" campaign for St. Robert's! These early indications of support reinforce our belief that we will enjoy great success.

As we begin to reach out to the entire parish family, a number of you will be contacted in the next few weeks, and our ultimate goal is to reach the entire St. Robert's community by Easter. When you are contacted, we encourage you to welcome your fellow parishioners as representatives of both Fr. Ring and St. Robert's. We ask you to reflect upon the meaning of St. Robert's in your own life, and prayerfully consider the significance of our Catholic community in the lives of generations to come.

Please Pray for the success of this campaign…
